Humidity! Bah, humbug! The heat is fine, and most of us can take that. But here in "sinus valley," as our Miami Valley is known, the humidity is like stepping under a wet blanket, when you go outside. Not pleasant ...
Anyway, enough bellyaching. On to bigger and better things ... find the most profound thing I've ever read as you scroll down. It will be interesting to know if any of you can tell me the book in which it appears.
Finally, I wish to point out that the feature article I have written is not an indictment, just a series of observations, so don't write and tell me that I'm being judgmental, while I'm only being observant.
Happy reading! :-)

A Healthier You
Have I told you all about colloidal silver? I know it's expensive in the stores—something like $30 for four ounces, which lasts no time at all. But if you invest in a simple
silver generator (about $240), you can make your own for about 36 cents a quart!
Folks, if you've never tried it, this is just amazing stuff. Both my husband and I had toenail fungus, which we found impossible to get rid of—even with tea tree oil—but the colloidal silver did the trick! You could see the changes in just a couple of weeks.
We take an ounce or so orally whenever we think about it throughout the day and spray the silver water onto the affected area first thing in the morning and last thing at night or whenever else remember to do it.
We bought our generator from http://thesilveredge.com, but there are other companies out there as well. We have no piece of the action at this site, but we highly recommend it because of our results.

The "Un" Generation
This article talks about the younger generation in general, acknowledging, of course, that not all members of this group fit into any or all of these categories. Indeed, there are shining stars in every generation, and I am sure that we all appreciate them. Unfortunately, they seem to be relatively rare.
Realize that I am not alone in the following observations of the present generation, and these are not judgments, merely observations. Everyone I talk to who does not belong to that group is quick to chime in with like observations.
What is meant in referring to this as the "un" generation is that they are:
1 — Unkempt — They are sloppy, dirty, disfigured, unwashed, wrinkled, ragged, unshaven, untrimmed, unclean, and unappealling in appearance.
2 — Unruly — Their behavior is lacking and has been grossly neglected. They are ill-mannered, discourteous, undisciplined, untrained, uneducated or under-educated, unmotivated, untaught, and uninspired.
3 — Uncivilized — They are loud, obnoxious, crass, disgusting, devoid of purpose, lacking in goals, morally degraded, and spiritually bankrupt.
4 — Uncommunicative — They really have no clue about effective interpersonal communication. They cannot read, write, spell, or compose simple letters, much less anything more complicated. And they do not know how to listen. Prove that one by placing an order for anything that deviates just a little from what is on a standard restaurant menu. (Most places are not "Burger King," where, supposedly, you get it "your way.")
5 — Unread and illiterate — But they can tell you all about the latest electronic gadgets and games. They all know how to use computers, iPods, iPhones, Blackberries, GPS systems, DVDs, DVRs, HDs, and all the rest. They have all the latest gadgets of communication but have little of substance to input. If you've ever tried to decipher one of their emails or text messages, you know what I mean.
6 — Unimaginative and unambitious — When they type a simple email, they are so lazy that they do not even bother with simple things like capitalization or punctuation to make it easy on the reader. It's all about them.
7 — Undirected — Most of them have no idea where they're headed or any idea of what they should do—or even wish to do—with their lives.
8 — Undressed — So many young people run around with half their bodies exposed, from "plumber's cracks" to butt cheeks to eye-popping cleavage. Why their parents allow this is beyond me. And then they just can't understand it when they are sexually assaulted. Duh!
9 — Unhealthy — As if all of the above were not enough to decimate them, for the most part, they are unhealthy. That, however, is not their fault (not that a lot of this is). No, it's because today's parents themselves have no clue as to how to provide healthy food for their offspring. Most kids today have never tasted a raw beet or even know what one looks like, for that matter. And that's just one vegetable. But they all know what a "happy meal" is and where to get one. And soft drinks ... well, I won't even go there, except to observe the obesity epidemic all around us.
Add to all of that their unhealthy habits of smoking, alcohol consumption, drugs (both legal and street), their general disregard for sexual exclusivity, etc., and you pretty much have the whole picture.
And these "undone" kids constitute this uncivilized generation! My heart goes out to them.

This is probably the most profound statement I've ever read.
It appears in a book, which I'll quote verbatim and ask if
any of you know to which book I refer. The quote:
"It is the mark of a primitive culture to imagine that
simplicity is barbarian, and complexity is highly advanced.
"Interestingly, those who are highly advanced see it as being
just the other way around."
Awesome!

Don't know about you, but this is the first (and, I hope, the last) time I've ever seen this misuse. This is a partial quote from a statement on a blog:

Laws To Live By by Kate Loving Shenk
My last article outlined the negative core beliefs
surrounding money, abundance and prosperity.
Law of Reciprocity
This universal law is like the law of gravity, the law of
attraction and the law of karma, in that it works whether
you believe in it, or not.
The Law of Reciprocity is when you reciprocate your mind to
be in the flow of divine laws, such as love, peace, joy,
happiness and freedom. Then and only then will divine
blessings rain great abundance unto you.
Pupil: "Could you give me something to memorize that will
help me to eliminate fear and doubt?"
Sage: "Yes. The thought I use most frequently myself is: My
mind is a center of divine operation. The divine operation
is always for expansion and fuller expression, and this
means the production of something beyond what has gone
before, not included in past experience, though proceeding
out of it by an orderly sequence of growth.
"Therefore, since the divine cannot change its inherent
nature, it must operate in the same manner in me:
consequently, in my own special world, of which I am the
center, it will move forward to produce new conditions
always in advance of any that has gone before.
"Entertain such thoughts as you feel are reflections of The
Divine.
"Whenever you feel that your way to freedom is obstructed,
make a stronger endeavor to live in the spirit of your
affirmation, and you will soon find your mind receiving
ideas which, if followed, will guide you into the path of
absolute liberty."
Doubt and fear separate us from the voice of inner divinity,
thus placing us into lower vibrational fields of lack and
restriction.
America is the greatest, freest and most decent society in existence. It is an oasis of goodness in a desert of cynicism and barbarism. This country, once an experiment unique in the world, is now the last best hope for the world.

The Lighthouse
by Danny Lizarraga
There was in a certain city a harbor where ships from all over the world would come and dock. However, the harbor was in between a treacherous and rocky shore. During stormy nights, ships would see the city lights off in the distance and head toward the lights, hoping to find refuge from the pounding surf.
The ships would struggle against the storm as they made their way to the safety of the harbor. As they drew near, seeing the dangerous rocks, the captain of the ship would try to turn to avoid striking the rocks, but it was too late. Many ships were destroyed and hundreds of sailors lost their lives, because they did not know of the danger.
You see, the people of the city did not feel that it was necessary to build a lighthouse. Besides, it would cost too much money to build a lighthouse, they reasoned. So year after year, and storm after storm, ships would be wrecked and many lives lost.
There was a man in that city who saw the need. He felt grief and heartache because the people of the city were content to let the ships be destroyed and were not willing to rescue the drowning sailors.
So he took it upon himself to do something about it. He tried to recruit volunteers to help him, but no one wanted to. He persisted, looking for someone to help him, but they all just laughed at him, and said that he was crazy to risk his life to try to save strangers and people who looked different.
Determined to make a difference, he sold everything that he had and bought a piece of land close to the shore and built his house there. It was a lighthouse.
During stormy nights, the man would make sure that the light from the lighthouse was shining as brightly as it could, so the ships could be warned of the dangerous rocks. His lighthouse saved hundreds of lives and ships from being wrecked that year. But it wasn't enough, because even with the lighthouse, some of the storms were so powerful that the ships struggling to come into the harbor were tossed about by the wind and waves that they would get smashed against the rocks.
Being a compassionate man, he would run to the roaring sea at the risk of his own life to rescue as many sailors as he could. Then he would bring them into the warmth and safety of the lighthouse. Once there, he would tend their wounds and feed them until they were able to sail again.
The man labored by himself for years rescuing sailors and caring for their needs. Each person he saved was so grateful to him that they couldn't thank him enough for rescuing them from certain death. But all the man could feel was sadness, because many more sailors died in the sea than he could save. "If only I had help," he would say. "If only someone would see the need as I do and come and help. Lord, please send someone to help. I can't do it all by myself," he prayed.
Then one day it happened—his prayers were answered. His generosity became well known in the land. People in the city began to volunteer to come and help the man keep vigil during stormy nights. Men began to take shifts keeping watch and helping rescue sailors. Then women started cooking and preparing bandages for the wounded sailors. The children did whatever they could to help lift the spirits of the injured.
Ships still wreck along the treacherous shoreline, but now because there are so many people there to help the man, many more lives are saved than are lost. Together Everyone Accomplished Much (team work). Together they made a difference.
