A Healthier You
Six quick tips — do's and don'ts for those with bone density problems:
1 — Walk, whenever and wherever you can, instead of driving.
2 — Forget pills; live enzymes from real food is what you need.
3 — Don't make the mistake of "sitting around" or "lying around" until you feel better. That's the fastest way to kill anyone over age 50!
4 — Do lift weights; doing so actually increases bone density!
5 — Don't eat an excessive amount of animal protein (meat!).
6 — Do eat a lot more raw vegetables than you eat of meat at the same meal.
The thing that impresses me the most about America is the way parents obey their children.

God is Love
Is it any wonder that the very first of the Ten Commandments that He gave to Moses was to
love the Lord with all your heart, your strength, your mind, and your soul?
Below are four different versions of Matthew 22:37-40. Similar words are found in Mark 12 and Luke 10, and of course, the gospel of John is replete with references to the importance of love:
King James Version —
Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.
New King James Version —
Jesus said to him, "'You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.' This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.' On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets."
New Century Version —
Jesus answered, "'Love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.' This is the first and most important command. And the second command is like the first: 'Love your neighbor as you love yourself.' All the law and the writings of the prophets depend on these two commands."
The Message —
Jesus said, "'Love the Lord your God with all your passion and prayer and intelligence.' This is the most important, the first on any list. But there is a second to set alongside it: 'Love others as well as you love yourself.' These two commands are pegs; everything in God's Law and the Prophets hangs from them."
I believe that most people feel that they have to "conjure up" feelings of love toward the Supreme Being of the universe, when they have never seen nor had any other physical sensory experience of Him. That is a fallacy.
Love never can be "conjured up." It has to grow from a relationship that is ongoing and nourished regularly.
But it has to start with keeping those two commandments cited above, for the Lord tells us at John 14:15: "If you love me, keep my commandments."
So very plainly, the "how to" of loving God is to keep those two commandments, and the first is done through the second. In other words, if you love your fellow man (show compassion and not disdain), you are loving God as well.
Question — Who were the first apostles called to follow Jesus?

"It is likely that at some time in your life you will come into

psychological, and financial wellbeing, it is crucial that you

and how to minimize the harm done to you."

Idiot Sighting:
The stoplight on the corner buzzes when it's safe to cross the street. I was crossing with an intellectually challenged co-worker of mine. She asked if I knew what the buzzer was for. I explained that it signals blind people when the light is red. Appalled, she responded, "What on earth are blind people doing driving?!"
She was a probation officer in Wichita.

The Doctor and the Lawyer
A doctor and a lawyer were talking at a party. However, their conversation was constantly interrupted by people describing their ailments and asking the doctor for free medical advice.
After an hour of this, the exasperated doctor asked the lawyer, "What do you do to stop people from asking you for legal advice when you're out of the office?"
"I give it to them," replied the lawyer, "and then I send them a bill."
The doctor was shocked, but agreed to give it a try. The next day, still feeling slightly guilty, the doctor prepared the bills.
When he went to place them in his mailbox, he found a bill from the lawyer.

Today's English Lesson
Seeing the same elementary mistakes over and over again has prompted this publisher to write an English lesson each issue. Look for some of these lessons to be repeated, because the mistakes are!
Straight from the pages of the Internet: A group was trying to insight a riot! Imagine!
Of course, the Web writer meant "incite," as "insight" means a deeper understanding akin to intuition, while the rioters stir things up, provoke, and "egg" things on to escalate feelings.
And this is just one more page in our ever-increasing collection of misuses/abuses of the English language. :-)

Rituals: Your Secret Weapon for Getting What You Want!
by Cari Vollmer
Even if you don't think you have rituals in your life, you
do. For example, Do you brush your teeth every morning?
That's a ritual. Do you eat lunch pretty much at the same
time every day? That's a ritual. Do you go to bed at the
same time every evening? That's a ritual, too.
However, if you're like most people, I bet a lot of your
rituals are pretty subconscious and feel more like a habit
than anything more meaningful. You do them because you've
always done them. But, have you ever wondered how they
truly serve your life?
Rituals, or meaningful and consistent routines, are actions
you take for the sake of keeping you on track and focused
on the big picture you have for your life.
For example, every day I read something that will help me
grow as a business owner. Every day! It has become such an
important part of my day I always make time for it. Reading
material that will help me become a wiser, more effective
business owner serves my goal of building a successful
business I love.
Another ritual I have is to take a mid-afternoon break,
every day, to quiet my mind and get in touch with what my
gut is telling me. This time helps me reconnect to my
spirit and that helps me stay on track. I LOVE this time
I've made for myself. Love it!
The rituals you create should be things you WANT to do,
rather than things you think you "should" do. The basic
idea of a ritual is for it to be something you look forward
to doing. Rituals will enhance your life, and they are fun
to do. Rituals are conscious actions you take that serve
the life you are choosing to create.
Examples of life-giving rituals include:
* Eating a healthy breakfast every day
* Daily reading of spiritual, personal growth and success
books
* Daily quiet time
* Attending a weekly mastermind group
* Exercising
* Twice monthly massages
* Prayer
* Giving thanks at the end of each day for the gifts that
day brought your way
* Beginning each day with a plan or intention
* Eating dinner with your family, at the table, each night
* Kissing and hugging every family member before going to
sleep
* Telling the people you love, you love them, every day
* Flossing your teeth every day
* Taking your vitamins every day
* Drinking lots of water every day
The idea is for your rituals to be fun and supportive and
something you WANT to do.
Success in life is a result of taking a few good actions,
over and over again, until you achieve the results you
want. Rituals will add substance to your actions and make
life feel more meaningful.

Inspiration
Solitude by Ella Wheeler Wilcox
Laugh, and the world laughs with you;
Weep, and you weep alone.
For the sad old earth must borrow it's mirth,
But has trouble enough of it's own.
Sing, and the hills will answer;
Sigh, it is lost on the air.
The echoes bound to a joyful sound,
But shrink from voicing care.
Rejoice, and men will seek you;
Grieve, and they turn and go.
They want full measure of all your pleasure,
But they do not need your woe.
Be glad, and your friends are many;
Be sad, and you lose them all.
There are none to decline your nectared wine,
But alone you must drink life's gall.
Feast, and your halls are crowded;
Fast, and the world goes by.
Succeed and give, and it helps you live,
But no man can help you die.
There is room in the halls of pleasure
For a long and lordly train,
But one by one we must all file on
Through the narrow aisles of pain.
