HAVE YOU HEARD ABOUT THIS? I HADN'T.

The Petroleum Equipment Institute is working on a campaign to try and make people aware of fires as a result of "static" (that is, static electricity) at gas pumps. They have researched 150 cases of these fires. The results were very surprising:
1——Out of 150 cases, almost all of them were women.
2——Almost all cases involved the person getting back in their vehicle while the nozzle was still pumping gas, when finished and they went back to pull the nozzle out the fire started, as a result of static.
3——Most had on rubber-soled shoes.
4——Most men never get back in their vehicle until completely finished. This is why they are seldom involved in these types of fires.
5——Don't ever use cell phones when pumping gas.
6——It is the vapors that come out of the gas that cause the fire, when connected with static charges.
7——There were 29 fires where the vehicle was reentered and the nozzle was touched during refueling from a variety of makes and models. Some resulting in extensive damage to the vehicle, to the station, and to the customer.
8——Seventeen fires that occurred before, during or immediately after the gas cap was removed and before fueling began.
NEVER get back into your vehicle while filling it with gas. If you absolutely HAVE to get in your vehicle while the gas is pumping, make sure you get out, close the door TOUCHING THE METAL, before you ever pull the nozzle out. This way the static from your body will be discharged before you ever remove the nozzle.

"Hail" is mentioned often throughout the Word of God. Take a look in the book of Revelation, for this weather event is all over in that book. Is there any place in the Old Testament where hail is used in a battle in which it caused MORE deaths than those caused by the actual fighting with weapons?
ANSWER: Yes! Joshua 10 tells the story of hail being used by
God to destroy Israel's enemies. Verse 11 says, "And it came to pass, as they fled from before Israel . . . that the LORD cast down great stones from heaven upon them unto Azekah, and they died: they were more which died with hailstones than they whom the children of Israel slew with the sword."

A well known speaker started off his seminar by holding up
a $20 bill. In the room of 200, he asked:
"Who would like this $20 bill?"
Hands started going up. He said:
"I am going to give this $20 to one of you but first,
let me do this."
He proceeded to crumple the dollar bill up.
He then asked:
"Who still wants it?"
Still the hands were up in the air.
"Well," he replied, "what if I do this?"
And he dropped it on the ground and started to grind it into
the floor with his shoe. He picked it up, now crumpled and dirty.
"Now who still wants it?" Still the hands went into the air.
"My friends, you have all learned a very valuable lesson.
No matter what I did to the money, you still wanted it because
it did not decrease in value. It was still worth $20.
Many times in our lives, we are dropped, crumpled, and ground
into the dirt by the decisions we make and the circumstances that
come our way. We feel as though we are worthless.
But no matter what has happened or what will happen, you
will never lose your value. To those who love you, you are
priceless.
The worth of our lives come not in what we do or who we know
but by who we are!
