A MATTER OF CONCERN FOR YOUR HEALTH

When I read about this drug and all of its side effects, I felt duty bound to share it with my readers, as I'd like to keep all of you! LOL!
FOSAMAX CAN CAUSE LIVER DAMAGE!
Fosamax (alendronate) is a medication approved for the treatment of osteoporosis. Like all medications, it has side effects, such as gastro-intestinal upset, eye damage, and even kidney failure. If YOU are taking this drug, you need to be aware of a new side effect—liver failure!
According to a case described in the New England Journal of Medicine, doctors from Israel describe a 71-year-old woman who has developed liver damage 2 months after starting Fosamax. She had no prior history of any liver problems, including hepatitis or cirrhosis. The New England Journal of Medicine 2000;343:365-366.
You need to be aware that there are alternate ways of protecting yourself from the ravages of osteoporosis that do not involve jeopardizing your liver in the process!
If you are taking estrogen (which is ill advised in most instances, but that's another issue) to prevent osteoporosis, you need to be using a quality progesterone cream to reverse it and increase your bone mass—natural progesterone cream has side benefits, not side effects . . . and that's just one thing you can do.
Another is, of course, to get enough bio-available calcium, BUT this will do little good unless you ensure that you are getting enough magnesium, because the body cannot absorb calcium into the bones with it! Without magnesium, calcium accumulates where it shouldn't and is pulled out of places where it should be, like the bones.
Another thing many people lack is Vitamin D, which is obtainable from exposure to sunlight and also available in supplement form. Vitamin D is critical to absorption of calcium as well.
While we're at it, don't believe that the milk products you find in the supermarket will provide bio-available calcium. These products are, in fact, counterproductive to the desired results. Unless you have access to raw cow's milk or goat's milk, forget dairy as a usable source of calcium. Much could be said about this, but there is no room in this brief article.
Finally, reduce your protein intake, as excess protein kicks calcium right out of your body.
To wrap up, many nutrients are needed for the prevention of osteoporosis, including Vitamins A and B6, folic acid, C, and K, along the the minerals manganese, zinc, copper, boron, and silica.
There are several other fantastic nutrients to prevent and reverse this most debilitating and widespread condition, and if you'd like to know what they are or have any other questions, just shoot me an email, and I'll share with you what I know.

TODAY'S ENGLISH LESSON

"Lose" refers misplacing something, or it can refer to losing something, such as money. If you can use the word "loss" to refer back to it, you want to use "lose," and not "loose."

ROUTINE MAINTENANCE CAN PREVENT
A DISASTER FOR YOUR BUSINESS!

Sometimes in the web world of business we tend to forget occasional chores that really have an impact on our business, especially when we are arguing with a slow computer or browser, and things tend to take their time opening up . . . like you could go for a snooze waiting and waiting. And the fatal blue screen pops up, or everything freezes because you just have way too much open.
Do you take time to clean up your computer clutter? Not just disk clean-up, scan disk, defragmenter, and virus checking. I mean the real junk . . . Well, let's see what else is there . . .
Internet clutter . . . cache clean-up makes the browser load faster. And don't forget the history. Check the "My Documents" folder . . . holy cow, what a big mess . . . pictures and all sorts of stuff besides your own saved. Stuff you no longer use.
Let's try another biggy . . . your email folders . . . now that is huge . . . clean up the outdated stuff, save the emails you need to floppy disc, and dump some no longer needed folders. Then delete, delete, delete and compact those folders. Reorganize and try not to let them fill up again . . . LOL . . . Your computer will run a tad faster after thorough maintenance.
And as a bonus tip, clean off your desktop . . . I mean both of them. Icons on one and clutter on the other. Give the PC a good cleaning—everything from mouse, monitor, and keyboard to the tower.
Did you know:
You can take your keys off the keyboard and clean under them? When the mouse argues with you about which way it will go, pop out the ball, and wash and dry it.
Take a vacuum to the tower, pull off the panel an blow out the dust. Make sure all the circuit boards are seated tightly . . . Be sure the PC is powered down first . . . LOL! Dirt and dust contribute to a slow running PC, too.
