And let us all be reminded that no one is immune to the evil of this world, and that we'd all better be sure that we are right with God . . . it's the only preparation we can make to save ourselves from eternal destruction. Finally, let's pray for the peace of those famillies who were devastated so personally that September 11th.

Carpal Tunnel and Rotator Cuffs

Hello, everyone . . . my husband and I lived in Vancouver, British Columbia, where we raised our two boys. They kept us pretty busy, being active in sports. We always knew who their friends were—they were such fun. I got a kick out of their conversations, talking about their girlfriends—it was so funny.. They played a lot of hockey. I cannot wait until the Cannucks start again; it was a great series, last year. My youngest son, n%ow 24, has his own golf business, so if anyone wants a golf green, he is the best (of course, I am not prejudiced!). Most of his business comes from word of mouth for all the nutty golfers. It is a frustrating game, but we have an advantage, in Kelowna, B.C., the town of golf courses. We are at a very high altitude, and your ball goes further—I love it—just started two years ago.
My husband passed away with cancer when the boys were only twelve, and I remarried a Scottish guy, who has been the best, but I do get a kick out of his accent and dry sense of humor.
We moved to Kelowna a year ago, and as everybody has probably heard on the news, we have had terrible fires—250 homes destroyed and 40,000 evacuated. It has gone up the mountain now, and away from the homes, but it is windy today, so it is still not under control. We were very fortunate, as we live on the other side of the lake. The people who are suffering such tragedy are in my prayers.
I decided to jump out of my comfort zone and start an online business, and it has been such fun and so exciting. I have met so many great people on my team, as I am in the health and nutrition industry. As an independent Herbalife distributor, using their products, I have lost 30 pounds. The Freedom of Wealth—or What Wealth Means to Me

No, money cannot buy happiness—that's true. But what is also true is that it sure does make life a whole lot easier to deal with.
The freedom of wealth means being:
Free of any need for pretense (if we are who we claim to be, we need not pretend). I am who I am.
Free of the burden to carry cash, checks, or credit cards (our person is recognized and respected as having means—we are free from the burden of having to prove it.) I have what I have.
Free to go anywhere or do anything lawful. I stand where I stand.
Free from worry about provision. I have what I claim and claim what I have.
Free from the limitations of this world. I go where I go. I know what I know. I rest where I rest.
Everything is mine, because I remember all His benefits. I am who I am in Him.
To enjoy wealth, one has to be aware of it. (If we have millions in our account, but if we don't realize it because we are insane, we cannot enjoy it.)
It occurs to me that each of us fortunate enough to be in our right mind is independently wealthy. We have only to realize that wealth. Here I refer to that which transcends monetary wealth.
It is all in our mind. We have but to "go within" to discover it. We've all heard it said that, if any self-made millionaire were to lose everything, he'd gain it all back very shortly, because he knows the secret.
This is true. The power to get wealth comes from within!
Here I'm going to share with you several books which have made a lasting impression on me, all of which I've read several times, and all of which I probably will read again and again. They each contain a wealth of information on the "secret" to tapping into this inner power:

The Secret of the Ages——by Robert Collier

Think and Grow Rich——by Napoleon Hill

Power Through Constructive Thinking——by Emmet Fox

The Magic of Believing——by Claude Bristol

Of course, many more treasures could be added to this list, because the "secret" is not really a secret at all. It is freely available to any sincere seeker.
So, next time you're feeling "po," remember that you're really wealthy beyond your wildest imagination—and erase that "po" mindset once and for all!

One night, a police officer was stalking out a particularly rowdy bar for possible violations of the driving under the influence laws. At closing time, he saw a fellow stumble out of the bar, trip on the curb, and try his keys on five different cars before he found his. Then he sat in the front seat fumbling around with his keys for several minutes.
Everyone left the bar and drove off. Finally, he started his engine and began to pull away.
The police officer was waiting for him. He stopped the driver, read him his rights, and administered the Breathalyzer test. The results showed a reading of 0.0. The puzzled officer demanded to know how that could be.
The driver replied, "Tonight, I'm the designated decoy."

Today's English Lesson

Seeing the same elementary mistakes over and over again has prompted this publisher to write an English lesson each issue. Look for some of these lessons to be repeated, because the mistakes are!

Okay, people—today we'll learn the difference between "then" and "than."
"Then" refers to time or a condition. As in, "If such-and-such happens, 'then' we will do thus-and-so."
"Than" is used for comparison, as in "more than."
And ne'er the twain shall meet!

5 Ways To Get Your Ad Noticed

1 — Write your own ad!
How many times do you see the same ad offering the same thing—but with a different link? There are so many people out there trying to promote the same affiliate program as you are. You must re-word your ad and make it stand out. Give it a try, and you'll see what I'm talking about.
2 — Write an article
I know you just thought to yourself "Yeah, right." I did, too. But after having read so many articles and e-books on marketing, they all basically say the same thing I am telling you right now. How many newsletters have you seen that give you the option to send in an article? Lots, huh? It's a great way to get free publicity when you add your re-worded ad in the resource box at the bottom of your article.
3 — Get your own website.
There are plenty of places out there in Cyberspace that offer free websites. Heck, my website is a free one, and I don't even know how to do HTML yet. Just type in the words "free websites," and you'll see what I mean. My two favorites are: http://www.freeserve.com and http://www.webspawner.com. You just pick and click.
You are now officially a webmaster. Now you add to your website all of the affiliate programs you belong to and promote just your website. What is that you say . . . you belong to only one program? Well that's easy to take care of. Go to http://AffiliateShowcase.com/?38297. They have the most, and the best, to choose from.
4 — Sign up for more newsletters.
Yeah, you heard me right. I personally am subscribed to over seventy. Go to http://www.freezineweb.com and subscribe to the ones you want. You can also type the words "newsletters that accept free ads" in your search box and see what you come up with. A great and free search tool I use is Web Ferret. It sits on your desktop and is there when you need it. You can get yours at http://www.webferret.com.
5 — Promote, Promote, Promote.
If you're serious about wanting to make money with any affiliate orogram, you will have to spend a good deal of time online. So go ahead and get yourself a nice soft seat cushion, because your going to need it. Now quit reading this and get out there and promote.

Take Hold of Every Moment

I hope this will bring a smile to your face.
A friend of mine opened his wife's underwear drawer and picked up a silk paper-wrapped package: "This," he said, "isn't any ordinary package."
He unwrapped the box and stared at both the silk paper and the box.
"She got this the first time we went to New York, eight or nine years ago. She has never put it on—was saving it for a special occasion.
Well, I guess this is it. He placed the gift box next to the other clothing he was taking to the funeral home—his wife had just died. He turned to me and said:
"Never save something for a special occasion. Every day in your life is a special occasion."
I still think those words changed my life.
Now I read more and clean less.
I sit on the porch without worrying about anything.
I spend more time with my family, and less at work.
I understand that life should be a source of experience to be lived up to, not survived through. I no longer keep anything. I use crystal glasses every day. I'll wear new clothes to go to the supermarket, if I feel like it.
I don't save my special perfume for special occasions. I use it whenever I want to. The words "someday . . . " and "one day . . . " are fading away from my vocabulary. If it's worth seeing, listening, or doing, I want to see, listen, or do it now. I don't know what my friend's wife would have done if she had known she wouldn't be there the next morning—this nobody can tell. I think she might have called her relatives and closest friends.
She might have called old friends to make peace over past quarrels. I'd like to think she would have gone out for Chinese, her favorite food. It's these small things that I would regret not doing, if I knew my time had come.
I would regret it, because I would no longer see the friends I would meet, or write the letters I never have.
I would regret and feel sad, because I didn't say to my brothers and sons—not times enough, anyway—how much I love them.
Nowadays, I try not to delay, postpone, or keep anything that could bring laughter and joy into our lives . . .
And each morning, I say to myself that this could be a special day . . . each day, each hour, each minute, is special.
Share this with others, and don't say to yourself that you will send it "one of these days" . . . remember that "one day" is far away . . . or might never  come . . .
