I started my career in internet marketing months after my daughter was born, when I created a website (or as I like to call it—an online resource center) on green living and green consumer issues in India. Check it out at: http://www.makingindiagreen.com. I also publish an ezine (Making India Green).

When the recession affected us directly, I looked for other ways to support the website and get some financial security. Besides, I like being my own boss.

I now have a lovely two-year-old daughter, who's the joy of our lives, and I am enjoying my new career that allows me to be with her, as well as build a business with a great company that makes wonderful, life-saving products.

Omega 9+ and Pain Away Gave Me Back My Life!

I have arthritis in my hips and lower back, which has caused me a great deal of pain in recent years and has really affected my ability to sleep at night. All of the everyday things one takes for granted became painful chores for me. Bending over to get a pot from the cupboard, making the bed, or walking any distance at all— they all just wore me down.

I have used magnets, and I have taken every analgesic from aspirin to ibuprofen. All of them worked a little bit for a short period, but those pain killers caused me to have stomach problems. So I felt I was trading one problem for another. Also, I began gaining weight, because moving around was so difficult.

Then I became involved in HealingAmerica.com and started taking Omega 9+ along with other Baseline of Health products. In just a few days I found myself less stiff and creaky when I got up in the morning, and I also found myself taking fewer pain killers. Then I made the mistake of running out of Omega 9+ and had to wait five days for the next order to arrive. I could feel everything starting to hurt again. The shipment of Omega 9+ finally arrived, and I am taking it every day! I will never be without it again.

And now I use Pain Away on my lower back, and I feel twenty years younger. I can do all the things I used to, and without any pain. I have even lost seven pounds! Thank you HealingAmerica.com ... I have my life back!

Become as a Little Child

Learn to play again—do everything with fun, joy, and romance.

Huh?

Yep. Why does a child play? To learn and to have fun.

How does a child play? With joy and abandon.

What does a child do when he plays?

He explores, he tries new things, he does old things in new ways. He is unconcerned with anything else—he is totally focussed on what he is doing. He tests. He looks. He watches. He experiments.

What is his attitude during play?

He expects to discover something. What?

Something new, something different, something fun.

What doesn't he expect to find?

Something that won't work. Something impossible. Something disagreeable.

What is a child's approach?

It is a matter of course for him to take something that adults see as meant for an ordinary use and use it for something completely out of the ordinary—something totally convoluted to our "logic."

And does he find the fun he seeks as he plays?

What do you think?

What do you think would happen if you became as a little child in your work?

Change your thinking every day, just as you change your clothes. Keep the same goal, but try new approaches.

Put on a fresh mindset every day, renewed with the overnight recharging of your batteries. (Be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind.)

Does a child play at the same thing every day?

Most of the time, no. He thinks nothing of dropping a tool or a method that doesn't do what he wants it to do and trying something else, fully focussed on what he is doing at any given moment, and not giving a second thought or regret to what he tried that didn't work.

True, we can learn a lot from the "mouths of babes"—but we also can learn a lot just from watching them!

TODAY'S CHUCKLE

A CLASSIC TALE

A tourist in Vienna is going through a graveyard, and all of a sudden he hears some music. No one is around, so he starts searching for the source.

He finally locates the origin and finds it is coming from a grave with a headstone that reads: Ludwig van Beethoven, 1770-1827.

Then he realizes that the music is the Ninth Symphony, and it is being played backward!

Puzzled, he leaves the graveyard and persuades a friend to return with him. By the time they arrive back at the grave, the music has changed. This time it is the Seventh Symphony, but like the previous piece, it is being played backward.

Curious, the men agree to consult a music scholar.

When they return with the expert, the Fifth Symphony is playing, again backward. The expert notices that the symphonies are being played in the reverse order in which they were composed, the 9th, then the 7th, then the 5th.

By the next day the word has spread, and a throng has gathered around the grave. They are all listening to the Second Symphony being played backward.

Just then the graveyard's caretaker ambles up to the group. Someone in the crowd asks him if he has an explanation for the music.

"Don't you get it?" the caretaker says incredulously, "He's decomposing!"

TODAY'S ENGLISH LESSON

We'll have another vocabulary lesson today.

"Bifurcate" is seen more frequently these days, for some reason.

Originally, it referred to dividing something into two branches or forks, but it now is commonly used to refer to dividing anything into two parts.

A big word with a simple meaning.

Okay, so that's our word for the week. Make a note of it, put it up on your refrigerator or mirror where you'll see it every day, and try to use it in a sentence several times for the coming week.

Success is the sum of small efforts,
repeated day in and day out.

The Purple Hat

You have to be sure to read the very last line!!!

Beautiful Woman:

Age 3: She looks at herself and sees a Queen.

Age 8: She looks at herself and sees Cinderella.

Age 15: She looks at herself and sees an Ugly Sister (Mom, I can't go to school looking like this!)

Age 20: She looks at herself and sees "too fat/too thin, too short/too tall, too straight/too curly"—but decides she's going out anyway.

Age 30: She looks at herself and sees "too fat/too thin, too short/too tall, too straight/too curly"—but decides she doesn't have time to fix it, so she's going out anyway.

Age 40: She looks at herself and sees "too fat/too thin, too short/too tall, too straight/too curly"—but says, "At least I am 'clean' and goes out anyway.

Age 50: She looks at herself and sees "I am" and goes wherever she wants to go.

Age 60: She looks at herself and reminds herself of all the people who can't even see themselves in the mirror anymore. Goes out and conquers the world.

Age 70: She looks at herself and sees wisdom, laughter and ability, goes out and enjoys life.

Age 80: Doesn't bother to look. Just puts on a purple hat and goes out to have fun with the world.

Maybe we should all grab that purple hat earlier. Please send this to five phenomenal women today, and something good will happen—you will boost another woman's self esteem.

How Do You Measure Success
by Len Thurmond, editor "The Affiliate Review"

Recently I read a short editorial in Malcolm Harvey's Success Train Newsletter, mailto:subscribe@successtrain.com?subject=subscribe that reminded me of Why I Do This. This is what it said ...

How Do You Measure Success?

To laugh often and much;

To win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children;

To earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends;

To appreciate beauty;

To find the best in others;

To leave the world a bit better whether by a healthy child, a redeemed social condition, or a job well done;

To know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived—

This is to have succeeded.

As we struggle to succeed in this crazy game that we have elected to play, we tend to lose sight of the important things in life.

The smile of a child, the laughter of a loved one. These are the important things.

All my life, all I ever wanted, was to be remembered for something, anything. Just to not be forgotten, as if I had never been.

It has always seemed to me that the purpose of this life is to leave it with a positive, lasting impression.

What I sometimes forget, is that I don't have to be the one who leaves that mark on the world.

As long as I can be some small part in the greater good, whether directly or indirectly, then my life can be deemed a success.

It might be my kids, or my kids' kids, or someone that I helped to get beyond their burden.

As long as one life has been changed for the better, because of our being here, then we are the very definition of success.

There are many ways to impact the world, and I believe that for good or bad, everyone does so, in one way or another.

It's unavoidable.

One of my favorite movies is "It's A Wonderful Life."

Think about it.

The point of that movie was to show how we all impact so many lives, in little ways that could eventually change the world.

All we can do is to try to be the best that we can be, and do unto others ... well, you know the rest of that tune.

But there was a reason that they beat those limericks into us as kids!

What the heck does this have to do with business?

Well, I'll tell ya bunkie ...

There's a new start up business on the internet, every few minutes, and quite frankly, most of them don't give a tinker's damn whether you make a dime or not, as long as they can fleece you before you catch on.

They prey on the novices, but if they're good, they'll catch a few of us old catfish, too! "As visions of sugarplums dance in our heads," they're emptying out our bank accounts.

The biggest problem, with these "legal scams," is that they proliferate themselves by teaching the burned victims how to light a fire.

This kind of action hurts everyone.

In the end it touches us all, directly or indirectly, by "scaring the wary" away from the legitimate programs that we are trying so hard to make work for everyone.

DO NOT fall into this trap.

The best way to succeed in business, as in life, is to gear yourself towards service to others.

If you can teach your affiliates to succeed, and be there for them when they need you, then they will do the same for theirs, and everyone will prosper.

But treat them like a number, and they will be the last number in your line!

It's far more profitable, in the long run, to have a few never ending lines of success oriented affiliates, all helping each other to succeed, than to have a whole lot of one time, disgruntled buyers, who move on in search of the one who cares.

Be that one!

Be a success!

INSPIRATION

Friends and Family...

From one currently ministering to a Marine family in Okinawa ...

THE FLAG OF THE UNITED STATES!

I am the flag of the United States of America. My name is Old Glory. I fly atop the world's tallest buildings. I stand watch in America's halls of justice. I fly majestically over institutions of learning. I stand guard with power in the world. Look up and see me.

I stand for peace, honor, truth and justice. I stand for freedom. I am confident. I am arrogant. I am proud.

When I am flown with my fellow banners, my head is a little higher, my colors a little truer.

I bow to no one! I am recognized all over the world. I am worshipped—I am saluted. I am loved—I am revered. I am respected—and I am feared.

I have fought in every battle of every war for more than two hundred years.

I was flown at Valley Forge, Gettysburg, Shiloh, and Appomatox. I was there at San Juan Hill, the trenches of France, in the Argonne Forest, Anzio, Rome, and the beaches of Normandy.

Guam, Okinawa, Korea and KheSan, Saigon, Vietnam know me. I was there. I led my troops, I was dirty, battleworn and tired, but my soldiers cheered me, and I was proud.

I have been burned, torn, and trampled on the streets of countries I have helped set free. It does not hurt, for I am invincible. I have been soiled upon, burned, torn, and trampled in the streets of my country. And when it's done by those whom I've served in battle—it hurts. But I shall overcome—for I am strong.

I have slipped the bonds of earth and stood watch over the uncharted frontiers of space from my vantage point on the moon. I have borne silent witness to all of America's finest hours.

But my finest hours are yet to come.

When I am torn into strips and used as bandages for my wounded comrades on the battlefield, when I am flown at half-mast to honor my soldier, or when I lie in the trembling arms of a grieving parent at the grave of their fallen son or daughter, I am proud.

Please forward my message to all who still love and respect me that I may fly proudly for another two hundred years.

TRUE STORY

Look God—I have never spoken to You.

But now I want to say, "How do You do."

You see, God, they told me You did not exist;
And, like a fool, I believed all of this.

Last night from a shell hole I saw Your sky;
I figured right then they had told me a lie.

Had I taken the time to see the things You made,
I would know they weren't calling a spade a spade.

I wonder, God, if You would shake my hand;
Somehow, I feel that You will understand.
Strange, I had to come to this hellish place,
before I had time to see Your face.

Well, I guess there isn't much more to say,
But I am sure glad, God, I met You today.
I guess the zero hour will soon be here,
But I am not afraid since I know You are near.

The signal—well, God I will have to go; I
love you lots, this I want you to know. Looks
like this will be a horrible fight; who knows,
I may come to your house tonight.

Though I wasn't friendly with You before,
I wonder, God, if You would wait at the door.

Look, I am crying, me shedding tears!
I wish I had known you these many years.

Well, I will have to go now, God.

Goodbye—Strange, since I met You,
I am not afraid to die.
