Today we'll return to our mathematical lifestyle changes, and this time we'll be subtracting again.
While reviewing all of the additions and subtractions we've covered thus far, it's hard to believe that we still have not subtracted aspartame and all other artificial sweeteners!
It's a great mystery to me why any thinking person would willingly swallow anything artificial. It just makes no sense.
And what is even worse, why would anyone volunteer to ingest chemical substances that have been proven to be highly detrimental to human health?
The dangers of aspartame are covered far and wide online; just Google the word and see the results you get! Just a few of the ninety different symptoms reported include headaches, seizures, difficulty breathing, dizziness, nausea, and vision problems.
Think Splenda is the cat's meow? Stop right this minute and read this site: http://tinyurl.com/2x4hwo. Scroll down to the testimonial section.
Just a few of the symptoms: edema-severe —
Diet Pepsi addiction and extreme carb cravings —
sexual dysfunction —
eye flashes —
marked hearing impairment —
headaches —
memory loss —
drowsiness —
numbing of limbs —
depression —
anxiety —
shortness of breath —
recent high blood pressure.
The mystery of why people continue to ingest these substances when there are natural alternatives that are harmless is quite beyond my ken! What's wrong with Stevia, Agave, Xylitol, etc.? You can even find these in some supermarkets now!

Why Being a Grandparent is No Longer What It's Cracked Up to Be!
I read the following story a few minutes ago. I had been thinking about grandparenthood just last night, and so it triggered this article:
"Where I Would Be"
My mother has always been there for me, not only as a mother, but as a friend . . . more so now that I am an adult. My mother has spent the last 15+ years working with the children of our church. Sometimes even providing transportation to children whose parents could not get them there.
When I was fifteen, I got mixed up with drugs and have been battling addiction since then. In 2004, I started using crack for the second time in my life, and this time it took me down hard and fast. I gave custody of my three young children to my parents. I eventually wound up in jail, serving a one-year sentence.
When I got out I stayed clean for a year before relapsing. I spent another year in and out of recovery before finally seeking help through rehab. Through this time, my mother has helped me care for my children.
In late 2005, we found out the kids were being abused by their father and had to revoke visitation, among all the other legal aspects of the situation.
Also during this time my father was diagnosed with throat cancer and had to have chemo five times a week; my mother took care of him and the kids—all this while I was still incarcerated.
Now I am clean and sober and working on getting my kids and me a place to live, so my parents can have their house back and become grandparents again instead of having to act as parents. If it wasn't for my parents, my children would be wards of the state, and I would be homeless. I thank my mother daily for all that she is and all that she does.
Misty in Florida
Unfortunately, Misty's story is not at all unusual. Substance abuse, family breakdown, and other factors have perpetrated this pathetic state of affairs repeatedly throughout the entire world today.
Yes, the young parents hurt, but no one forced substance abuse on them, so it's hard to feel very sorry for them. The children are the ones who are hurt and hurting the most—and they are the hapless victims who will carry the scars for life.
Although we have soon-to-be twenty-six grandchildren, I feel very fortunate that "only" two of them have been hurt by their alcoholic/suicidal mother for years. But they are blessed to have a father (my son) who is responsible and provides them with the residential home (even though the convoluted court system still makes him pay child support to his ex, who only occasionally spends any time with them, and all of this because, ostensibly, they have "joint" custody!)
To my mind, the judicial system in the U.S.A. makes a total mockery of justice by molly-coddling repeat lawbreakers and forcing the law abiding to pay for these travesties. But, then, that is another issue that we won't get into today . . .
It is so very obvious to me and many others that the breakdown of families can be linked directly to the removal of God from our classrooms way back in 1962.
Let us pray that this state of affairs is corrected—and soon!
In a few hundred years, when the history of our
time will be written from a long-term perspective,
it is likely that the most important event
historians will see is not technology, not the
Internet, not e-commerce. It is an unprecedented
change in the human condition. For the first time
—literally—substantial and rapidly growing
numbers of people have choices. For the first
time, they will have to manage themselves. And
society is totally unprepared for it.

Today's Chuckle
Cowboys and Indians or . . .
Three strangers strike up a conversation in the airport
passenger lounge in Bozeman, Montana, awaiting their
flights.
One is an American Indian passing through from Lame
Deer. Another is a cowboy on his way to Billings for a
livestock show and the third passenger is a fundamentalist
Arab student, newly arrived at Montana State University
from the Middle East.
Their discussion drifts to their diverse cultures. Soon the
two westerners learn that the Arab is a devout, radical
Muslim, and the conversation falls into an uneasy lull.
The cowboy leans back in his chair, crosses his boots on a
magazine table, and tips his big sweat-stained hat forward
over his face. The wind outside is blowing tumbleweeds
around, and the old windsock is flapping, but still no plane
comes.
Finally, the American Indian clears his throat and
speaks softly, "At one time here, my people were many, but sadly,
now we are few."
The Muslim student raises an eyebrow and leans forward,
"Once my people were few," he sneers, "and now we are
many. Why do you suppose that is?"
The Montana cowboy shifts his toothpick to one side of his
mouth and from the darkness beneath his Stetson says in a
drawl, "That's 'cause we ain't played 'Cowboys and Muslims' yet,
but I do believe it's a-comin'."

of new ideas you suggest.

Affiliate Program Marketing—Become an Online Marketing Success by Blake Stevenson
Advertising and marketing has become one of the largest and most profitable careers around. Successful advertising gurus can command huge wages by working in the creative industry.
Few people would choose to argue with earning money by the bucketful doing something as simple and enjoyable as creating advertising campaigns.
The invention of the Internet has blown apart the traditions and boundaries of many of the industries and business sectors, which have become established in the real world. One of these is that of advertising.
The online market is vastly different to that of the standard tried and tested methods. In itself, the advertising industry has been revolutionized and brought into the technological age. One of the products of this marketing revolution is the affiliate program.

DVD Case Cover Creation
by Aaron Brandon
One simple question is required before you can begin to
read this article: Do you sell an information product online?
If you do, here's another simple question: Do you offer
this product in the physical form of a CD or DVD? Many
marketers are blind to this other part of their business.
I'm not sure why—maybe they think it's just expensive, or
maybe they think it's a lot of work.
Let me tell you what I did recently. I took one of my
better selling products and made it a physical product. The
process to do this was simple. I burned the product to a CD
and spent a few minutes creating the cover art for it.
I then uploaded the data to the CD/DVD manufacturing company.
Actually, they would rather I refer to them as a "machine,"
since the entire process is completely automated.
I'm not sure why more Internet business owners aren't doing
this already. Maybe they simply think that it's going to be
an arm and a leg for them to set up.
The truth is, it can
take minutes to upload and to have a physical product
complete and ready to sell. Your customers will be able to
order your product, and it just arrives at their address in
a bubble wrapped package.
The best and easiest way to create your physical products
is this . . . turn your already made products into physical
products. Sell the physical product to your existing
customers who have already purchased the original course.
Doing so will beat any additional advertising your'll have
to do if you make a completely new course, and as a bonus,
your current customers are more likely to buy from you
again.
There's no hidden cost anywhere! This isn't some kind of
service that you later discover has cheated you in some way
or another. So, here's the step-by-step process I use to
convert my courses into physical products:
1 — Burn Course Data to a Disk (CD or DVD).
A CD or DVD can store any type of data on it, as long as it
will fit. I often will put audio, videos, or written text
(ebooks) on these disks. Anything you imagine to be a
product can probably be put on a disk, as long as it fits.
I put flash and avi format files on disks for video, mp3's
for audio, and a PDF document if the product is a document
or written. These are the most compatible types of files
for customers.
2 — Download the software from the "machine."
The service I use has disk manufacturing software that you'll be
required to use. Download and install this, and follow the
steps provided until your product is uploaded.
3 — Advertise product link you're given. The manufacturer will provide you with a link, which you can
simply give to your customers to order from.
On your order
page, the customers will be able to easily calculate the
shipping costs. All that is taken from you during this
whole process is $1.60 which is the disk/case cost. This is
taken out after the order is complete.
That's all there is to it. The time it takes to get your
product uploaded to the "machine" depends on the size of your
product, as well as the speed of your connection. Uploading
an ebook or a few audios on a high speed connection
shouldn't take any more than a few minutes.
I just released a course on how to create the DVD case
cover for physical products. This can be time consuming if
you decide to make your product cover fancy.
With this
course, you'll be able to use my technique to create cover
art in just minutes. It will give you a nice presentation
for your customers.
Why a CD in a DVD case? It simply looks
better, and the DVD style cases have less of a chance to
crack during shipping. You simply use a DVD if your course
is too large for a CD, or if you'd like customers to be
able to view the product in a DVD player instead.

What Is It I Have Done? . . . A Cry of Repentance by Sandra Padmore
Every man sows what is it he shall reap.
The Good Book said it and I do believe.
So Lord what ever I may have done.
To cause this suffering so profound.
Forgive me Lord! Please! Forgive me.
Don't let my sins continue to haunt me.
Oh! What was it that I have done?
What was it that I did so wrong?
Could it be that I never gave my all?
Could it be that I refused my brother's call?
Could it be that I was just a sinner,
In a world I thought I was always winner?
Bring to light Dear Lord my deeds.
Help me to see just what it could be.
Could it be that I didn't love as I ought?
Could it be that I didn't do as I was taught?
Could it be that I didn't share my heart
When others were simply being torn apart?
I am desperately trying to remember.
When, where, who, or what the encounter?
Could it be that I coveted my neighbor's lot?
Could it be that I initiated those destructive plots?
Could it be that I was selfish, only focusing on me
Not caring about other’s who just wanted to be?
Oh how hard it is trying to recall
That deed, that deed, which I have done
It could be something done unintentionally
It could be something done purposely
Whatever it could be I'm paying the price
Had I only known then I would've thought trice.
Every man sows what he shall reap.
The Good Book said it and I do believe.
So Lord what ever I may have done.
To cause this suffering so profound.
Forgive me Lord! Please! Forgive me.
Don't let my sins continue to haunt me.
