Subscriber in the Spotlight
The first subscriber to submit his or her personal profile sharing with the rest of us all about who he/she is, background, family, location, interests, hobbies, goals, dreams, etc., will be spotlighted in this spot in the next issue—and yes, an email and/or website may be included!
And now, meet Robert Duffy, today's Subscriber in the Spotlight . . .
Hi! Robert Duffy here. I am married to a beautiful woman named Cindy, and we have two young children—Nicholas (3 years old) and Makenna (4 months old). We live in La Crosse, Wisconsin.
In the cold harsh winters we love to go sledding with
our two dogs, a St. Bernard and a Siberian Huskie.
In the summer we hang out on the
Mississippi River on our boat, and we also like to
hike the surrounding bluffs.
I have been on this wonderful journey through the
Internet for nine years, and in the last eight months started to become serious about it.
Back in August 2007 I started my own business, RCD Global Marketing. I started off buying every e-book I could get my hands on. I wanted to make money so badly on the Internet and quit my job. You see, I drove a truck for a living for ten years and hated every minute of it. So one day I decided to quit my truck driving job and go full time and try to make a living on the internet.
Well needless to say it wasn't so simple!
I continued buying every C-D, e-book, D-V-D, and every information product I could find that I thought was going to be the answer—that was going to tell me how to make money.
I joined so many programs—Passport To Wealth, Carbon Copy Pro, Big Ticket To Wealth, and so many more. I failed in every one!
Then one day I had a vision that showed me the secret I was looking for. All of a sudden I knew how to get traffic—in fact, 2,965 people in less than four weeks!
My goal is to help as many people as humanly possible to find the hidden secret to their Internet wealth. I want to make the tiny 3% that make it now, leap to at least 50%. I was put on this planet to help!
Fact — An eighteenth-century German named Matthew Birchinger, known as the little man of Nuremberg, played four musical instruments, including the bagpipes, was an expert calligrapher, and was the most famous stage magician of his day. He performed tricks with the cup and balls that have never been explained. Yet Birchinger had no hands, legs, or thighs, and was less than 29 inches tall!
A Healthier You
Today it's time to do a little addition in our ongoing mathematical lifestyle change, and that will be to add an old fashioned—but highly effective substance—cod liver oil.
Now I can just hear all of you out there saying, "Yuck!" And I quite agree, but there are now more pleasant options than the traditional spoonsful of the awful tasting liquid, thank God!
One of these options is to swallow cod liver oil capsules, available at health food stores. Another option is to get Dale Alexander's mint flavored liquid. (So far, I have had no luck in finding this, but I understand it is available in many health food stores.)
Further investigation reveals that Dale Alexander's brand is now going under the name of Twin Lab.
Cod liver oil is excellent for skin line reduction and for skin lubrication. It also helps your hair and has all kinds of hidden benefits, especially for the cardiovascular system. It also helps to fight cancer, depression, arthritis, Alzheimer's disease, ulcers, diabetes, hyperactivity, and other disorders.
About two teaspoons a day, or the equivalent in capsules, will do for most people. Do not take megadoses, because you might overdo Vitamin A and Vitamin D.
Things are pretty, graceful, rich, elegant, handsome, but, until
they speak to the imagination, not yet beautiful.

Why Words are so Powerful
Think about it. When someone tells you something, in your mind's eye, do you see the individual words that are being spoken, or do you see the pictures that the words represent?
You see the pictures, of course! Because words represent ideas or objects or actions or descriptions.
The eight parts of speech: nouns (objects), pronouns (which refer to nouns), adjectives (which describe nouns), adverbs (which tell how), verbs (which describe action), conjunctions (which connect other words), interjections (which express emotion), articles (which indicate either something specific or non-specific).
Words are actually spiritual containers. They represent the spirit of the idea they represent.
Artists use paint to represent their ideas and the spirit of the objects they depict, using various techniques.
Used effectively, words also can paint pictures, as evidenced by the works of our great poets.
Words move the world. Nothing significant happens until words are either spoken or written.
This reminds me of an old adage: Either write things worth the reading or do things worth the writing!
Complete John 5:24: " . . . He that hears my word, and believes on Him who sent me, has everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation . . ."
1 — but is forgiven
2 — but is passed from death unto life
3 — but is no longer under wrath
4 — but is saved

Father Daughter Talk
A young woman was about to finish her first year of college. Like so many others her age, she considered herself to be a very liberal Democrat and was very much in favor of "the redistribution of wealth."
She was deeply ashamed that her father was a rather staunch Republican, a feeling she openly expressed. Based on the lectures that she had participated in, and the occasional chat with a professor, she felt that her father had for years harbored an evil, selfish desire to keep what he thought should be his.
One day she was challenging her father on his opposition to higher taxes on the rich and the addition of more government welfare programs. The self-professed objectivity proclaimed by her professors had to be the truth, and she so indicated this to her father. He responded by asking how she was doing in school.
Taken aback, she answered rather haughtily that she had a 4.0 G.P.A. and let him know that it was tough to maintain, insisting that she was taking a very difficult course load and was constantly studying, which left her no time to go out and party like other people she knew. She didn't even have time for a boyfriend and didn't really have many college friends, because she spent all her time studying.
Her father listened and then asked, "How is your friend Audrey doing?"
She replied, "Audrey is barely getting by. All she takes are easy classes, she never studies, and she barely has a 2.0 G.P.A.. She is so popular on campus; college for her is a blast. She's always invited to all the parties, and lots of times she doesn't even show up for classes, because she's too hung over."
Her wise father asked his daughter, "Why don't you go to the Dean's office and ask him to deduct a 1.0 off your G.P.A. and give it to your friend who only has a 2.0. That way you will both have a 3.0 G.P.A., and certainly that would be a fair and equal distribution of G.P.A.."
The daughter, visibly shocked by her father's suggestion, angrily fired back, "That wouldn't be fair! I have worked really hard for my grades! I've invested a lot of time and a lot of hard work! Audrey has done next to nothing toward her degree. She played while I worked my tail off!"
The father slowly smiled, winked, and said gently, "Welcome to the Republican party."
People often say that motivation doesn't
last. Well, neither does bathing—that's why we recommend it daily.

Today's English Lesson
Seeing the same elementary mistakes over and over again has prompted this publisher to write an English lesson each issue. Look for some of these lessons to be repeated, because the mistakes are!
Although many times these two words are used interchangeably, they are not always used properly. I'm talking about
"inflict" and "afflict."
Usually, to "inflict" means to deliberately impose something that must be borne or suffered, e.g., to inflict punishment of some sort. It's something that one person forces upon another.
"Afflict," on the other hand, is usually something that comes upon a person, such as a disease, an emotional pain, or some kind of suffering that has not necessarily been "inflicted" by another person, although it can be, either intentionally or not.

9 Steps to Success in Affiliate Marketing
by Curtis Sexton
1 — Join an Affiliate Program: Join programs that interest you personally. There are affiliate programs for almost any product or service you can think of, so do some research and find one that is right for you. If you have a passion for your product niche, it will be a whole lot easier to stay motivated and be successful.
2 — Build your own website to promote your product. You will need to build a website with your own domain name (i.e., homeworksolutions.biz) and pay a monthly fee for hosting, as opposed to going the free route and sharing a domain (i.e., yourname.homeworksolutions.biz) If you don't know much about web design, that's quite okay. You will find there are lots of companies out there who offer very affordable website design.
Put your hand on a hot stove for a minute, and it seems like an hour. Sit with a pretty girl for an hour, and it seems like a minute. That's relativity.

How to Stop Petty Commission Thieves and Increase Your Conversions
by Jason Oickle
Did you know there are people out there who hate knowing that a
third party is going to be making money off them when they
purchase things through affiliate links? Often when they buy
through an affiliate link they will remove your affiliate I.D.
from the links, and most times they will even replace it with
their own.
How many commissions are you unknowingly missing out on? And
what if I told you that there is a way you can stop these petty
hijackers in their tracks and increase your click-through and
conversion rates?
This technique is currently being used by the top internet
marketers, and most of them paid 97 dollars to learn it. What am
I talking about? Well, I'm referrig to cloaking your links
with personalized "recommends" links.
When you use cloaked links, your link is hidden, and no one can
change or remove your affiliate I.D.. What does this mean for you?
You will almost instantly notice an increase in your sales and
click-through rates.
When you use personalized "recommends" links, you are giving your
prospects the feeling that whatever you are promoting is being
recommended by a friend. This helps to build trust between you
and your customers.
Here is an example of how a "Recommends" link looks:
http://www.jasonoickle.com/recommends/affiliatesalesbooster.
Now you tell me, isn't that much more appealing than a normal
affiliate link with a bunch of random numbers and letters?
It is a known fact that people will be more likely to purchase a
product or join an opportunity if it is recommended by a friend.
Start using this technique in your marketing strategy, and I
guarantee it will have a huge impact on your bottom line.
Jason Oickle reveals how you can quickly & easily create your
very own "recommends" affiliate links. You can pick up his
step-by-step video tutorials that'll show you exactly how at

A Living Mother
There are many, many songs
Singing praise of mothers gone.
There are poems by the hundreds
Telling of good things they've done.
But the song that I would sing
And the tribute I am giving
Is a deep appreciation
For a mother who is living.
All the nice things said of mothers,
Of their labors and their love,
Pointing out the way to Heaven,
Telling of the God above.
All these tender, loving tributes,
All these things so true and fine—
They are true of other mothers,
And they're very true of mine.
But tonight this thought comes to me,
And it stirs my very heart—
Oh, how much I love my mother!
Have I always done my part?
Have I shown appreciation
For her kindness through the years?
Have I helped to lift her burden?
Have I caused her many tears?
Maybe you, too, have a mother
Who is living yet today . . .
Have you thought how much you'd miss her
If God beckoned her away?
Have you thought of all the hours
She has spent in prayer for you?
Is there no way you can thank her?
Is there nothing you can do?
Why not make her path grow brighter
By a kind word now and then?
Why not make the burden lighter?
Tell her how good she has been!
When she's gone, 'twill be too late
To express your love sincere.
Let her know how much you love her—
Why not thank her while she's here?
